LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Basketball Athletes of the Week. In the East, Mansfield’s Jasmine Hilton and Lock Haven’s Alana Robinson were selected. In the West, California’s Dejah Terrell and Gannon’s Sam Pirosko earned the honor.

Hilton missed only five minutes across the Mansfield women’s basketball teams two wins including a 63-58 victory over Bloomsburg and an 81-63 win over Shepherd. The senior had a career week, accumulating 50 points and 24 rebounds, while shooting 58.6% (17-29) from the field and 92.3% (12-13) from the charity stripe across the week. The guard led scoring in both games (20 & 30) and rebounds (15 & 9). Hilton posted her fifth double-double of the season and now 6th in rebounds in program history (748) and 7th in points (1,271).

Robinson led the Bald Eagles to their program-tying 13th straight victory on Wednesday, as Lock Haven downed Kutztown 64-49 on the road. Robinson was once again a force on the defensive end as she plucked three steals and blocked three shots as well as pulling in seven rebounds, scoring 25 points, and dishing out three assists. Robinson’s 36 blocks this season lead the PSAC by 11, while her 27 steals rank seventh in the conference. Robinson now has 89 blocks in her career in just two seasons, sitting seven away from tying the program record. With the victory, the Bald Eagles match the 1984-85 squad for the longest winning streak in program history. Lock Haven has not lost since the season opener against the No. 9 team in the country, Fairmont State.

Terrell averaged a double-double last week with 24.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, as the Vulcans earned a pair of victories in PSAC West play. She also averaged 2.0 steals and 4.0 blocks per game while shooting 63.9 percent (23-of-36) from the floor. Terrell tallied a double-double with 19 points and a season-high 14 rebounds (five offensive), plus added two blocks and two steals, on Wednesday in a 61-53 victory over Seton Hill. The Reading native then scored a season-high 30 points on 14-of-20 shooting and collected eight rebounds (three offensive), a season-high six blocks and two steals in a 74-53 win at Slippery Rock on Saturday.

Pirosko led Gannon to wins at Edinboro (90-76) and over IUP (68-52), snapping six-game winning streaks for both teams. At Edinboro she fell one rebound shy of a double-double with 20 (5-12 FGs, 10-11 FTs) points and 9 rebounds. She added 4 assists, a steal and a block. She earned her sixth double-double of the season vs. IUP with 17 points ) 7-13 FGs, 3-4 FTs) and 10 rebounds, giving her 51 straight games in double figures. She added 2 assists and 2 steals. Pirosko now has 1,850 career points and 739 career rebounds. Gannon has now won 14 straight games.
