Renwick will begin right away as the 2021-22 golf seasons approach\u00a0this fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m extremely excited to welcome Easton Renwick as our head coach for Point Park University men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s golf,&#8221; Ashaolu said.\u00a0 &#8220;Easton&#8217;s experience as a student-athlete on the golf teams at Coastal Carolina University and West Virginia University as well as his playing experience professionally make him an excellent choice to lead our golf programs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;He is an astute teacher of the game and has built connections in the region that will benefit us as we look to continue to build our golf program into a perennial contender in the River States Conference.&nbsp;I am confident that our golf program will once again&nbsp;contend&nbsp;for championships in the very near future.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am extremely thankful to be named head coach at Point Park University,&#8221; Renwick said. &#8220;Golf has brought so much joy to my life, and I am very excited to share the information I have learned throughout my career to help the student-athletes at Point Park. I am very excited to get on campus and to meet the student-athletes and work with them in developing their skills and achieve their goals.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renwick&#8217;s playing career has made a name for himself in Western Pennsylvania. He is on the short list of players who have won both&nbsp;the West Penn Open (2017) and West Penn Amateur (2015), a list that includes Arnold Palmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former WPGA Junior Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010 went on to play collegiate golf at Coastal Carolina and West Virginia&nbsp;from 2011-16. He was a team captain at WVU and transferred to the program when the Mountaineers started their men&#8217;s golf team in 2014.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renwick continues to play in tournaments as a professional, and he is also a golf instructor.
